The Kentucky Derby is one of my favorite traditions. Hello, an excuse to wear an incredibly large, gorgeous, attention grabbing hat or fascinator along with day drinking, gambling, and all my other favorite vices… what’s not to like? Of course I go all out in terms of what ought to be cooked. While my menu leaves nothing to be desired, I have to admit, my gambling usually does. I never pick the winning horse. Maybe this year I will be the field, just to be certain. Aside from directing your cooking choices for the big day, I have some great tips on making or customizing your very own derby hat. Check it out.
