French Lime Blossom Cocktail

fizzy french lime blossom cocktailSometimes it’s really hard to name my creations, and sometimes it’s really easy. The French Lime Blossom Cocktail was an easy one. Naming is harder than it might sound, because while I want to name things something funny, and goofy, that reflects my feelings about my time in the kitchen and love for language, the truth is, that if I want people to find my recipes, they also need to be logical. As in, someone might google French Lime Blossom Cocktail, someday. The best titles from a google perspective, are just ingredients. See what I did, I had a little bit of fun, but I told you the ingredients were French: the chartreuse; lime, the lime juice; and blossom, the floral elder flower liqueur.

½ cup St. Germain or elder flower concentrate (I buy mine at Ikea, check out my $pendy/Thrifty Alteration)
¼ cup green chartreuse
juice of 2 limes; hulls reserved for garnish
2 cups club soda
ice

Pour ingredients together in a pitcher. Add ice. Add quartered lime hulls. Stir and serve. pouring the cocktailsThis is a really light, low alcohol cocktail. It’s delightful and drinks pretty much like lemonade on a hot day. If you want to up the party “spirit” add ½ cup of gin or vodka. Happy “It’s still Summer, I swear it! Friday”. I garnished the cocktail with these gorgeous muscadine grapes I found at the market. They were delicious and added a little something extra, but they are by no means necessary to enjoying. aerial french lime blossom
