½ - 1cupchopped hamsalami, capricola, spicy sausage of your choice
1-2cupsshredded mozzarella
2teaspoonsdried chili flakes for crust or 1 minced jalapeño
Instructions
When I make the dough for this pizza, I modify it a bit, by adding either minced jalapeño or chili flakes to the flour. Then I proceed to make the well, etc.
After about 20 minutes, preheat the oven to 550° F. When dough has doubled in volume, it’s time to get started.
Sprinkle your work surface with a little flour and roll out the dough.
Sprinkle a pizza stone or upside down sheet pan with cornmeal.
Lay the dough on top and roll the edges over to create a wall for the sauce.
Spread the sauce. Cover with cheese. Top with the pineapple and ham (and red peppers if you like).
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is getting golden.
Remove from oven.
Let rest five minutes before you slice it. If you've never had it, or never made your own Hawaiian Pizza, you're in for a serious treat.
