Lemongrass Ginger Iced Tea is a delicious sweetened ice tea bursting with lemongrass and ginger flavors for a refreshing, spicy and citrus-y iced tea.

Ingredients
4-6Stalks of Lemongrass; tender parts sliced*
4inchesginger; peeled and sliced
¾ cup sugar
10black tea bagsLady Grey if you like
lots of ice!
Instructions
Bring lemongrass and ginger to a boil in 6 cups of water.
Let simmer 15 minutes.
Add sugar and stir until it dissolves (the order isn't important here, sometimes I throw it all in together).
Let sit another 10 minutes.
Add tea bags to 4 cups boiling water. Let steep 10 minutes.
Strain out lemongrass and ginger and combine with tea concentrate in a pitcher. Serve with lots of ice and lemon slices if you like.

*More if not very fresh. The flavor really depends on how fresh the lemongrass is. If it isn't too fresh I might use 8 or 10 stalks. ** Luke adapted this recipe because he felt it was a fair bit of work and he wanted more quantity. I took it a step further and made 2 cups of simple syrup and then just added about ¾ cup of the syrup to about 9 cups of tea. This way I had enough of the syrup to make the tea three times. Delicious simple syrup is never a bad thing to have around. That said, I wanted you to have his original recipe, because he's worked on it for a long time to perfect it.
